Being a member of the Southcoast Zodiacs requires dedication, hard work, and sometimes sacrifices. As cheerleading is one of the fastest growing sports currently in the UK, it is become increasingly popular amongst children aged 4 to 24. It provides those participating with the chance to get active, whilst having fun at the same time. Those who take part in cheerleading learn important life skills that they can take with them to use in the future. These include team work, communication skills, the benefits of hard work and perseverance and the importance of dedication. 

Because of the demand the competing team has, the Southcoast Zodiacs have decided to start up the SCZ cheer Academy!

If you are interested in becoming a cheerleader, the SCZ Cheer Academy is a great starting point. It offers members to learn cheerleading from the ground up, and works them through the progressions and safety elements to cheerleading.

 All staff are fully trained and have the relevant experience  to be coaching the Academy. We sometimes bring in our trainee staff members for experience, however this is always under the watchful eye of the head coaches.

Those attending can progress at their own level, without the pressure of a competing. Those who enjoy the classes and wish to take it further can then tryout for the competition team when places become available.
